Standing Inside Out

All She Was 04:34
Could you come a little closer The streetlights here are the same They're winding like a river moon Coming over the horizon The cascading line of people's lives weaving through The stories told, are the difference The difference between me and you We're in this Ember light again Into your arms again We are the storm Could you turn it down just a little Just give me one more day Cos I'm falling asleep again You are the vespertine, the sophrosyne And I could catch you in the tallest tower Just to see you again And all she was, was the best thing I ever knew Like a tidal wave of the Sun And she never was, anything but the best to you This Ember light We can make it home just me and you You and me Coming over the horizon With the memories slipping back The journey we made, making up a pattern Sinking in like Tupac And I won't even take it back And the way home is pulling me, pulling me back. And I don't even know where I am But I can feel, I can feel, the pull of the sun and the moon. With the gravity, gravity at my back And all she was, was the best thing I ever knew Like a tidal wave of the Sun And she never was, anything but the best to you This Ember light We can make it home just me and you You and me We can make it home just me and you You and me We can make it home just me and you You and me We can make it home just me and you You and me We can make it home just me and you You and me We can make it home just me and you You and me We can make it home just me and you

As if I knew my way Maybe we'd be fine It won't be like today The lead that's in my veins And I'm completely incomplete As if I know that's what it means I feel the winters heart I won't look back in fear And try not to feel this on my skin And now, I heard you talking about Then, when things were back and forwards When, this was all another time And we were chasing here again And Now, before It's all too late And then, when things Were back and forwards When This was all Another time We were chasing here again I'm standing inside out Standing inside I'm standing inside out Standing inside And I'm still waiting And when the lights fade I will keep on waiting While you're making up your mind There's another way That we could see it While I'm painting on my eyes I will keep on waiting I'm happy that you're home Stopping to take it in There's always someone listening Sedition finds a way In innocuous things Try not to feel this on my skin And now, I heard you talking about Then, when things were back and forwards When, this was all another time And we were chasing here again And Now, before It's all too late And then, when things Were back and forwards When This was all Another time We were chasing here again I'm standing inside out Standing inside I'm standing inside out Standing inside And I'm still waiting And when the lights fade I will keep on waiting While you're making up your mind There's another way That we could see it While I'm painting on my eyes I will keep on waiting And when the lights fade I will keep on waiting While you're making up your mind There's another way That we could see it While I'm painting on my eyes I will keep on waiting I'm standing inside out Standing inside I'm standing inside out Standing inside I'm standing inside out Standing inside I'm standing inside out Standing inside

about

Midwave Breaks Tauranga, New Zealand

Midwave Breaks are a two-piece Rock band from NZ featuring singer Bruce Conlon and Drummer Paul Russell. Their sound is a modern take on the soundtrack of their youth - purposefully retrospective mixed with the new.
Although largely recorded independently in the spare room of a farmhouse, the singles were mixed by grammy award winning engineer Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons).
